We are currently looking for a Sr. Front-End Developer to join our Design Systems team. The Design Systems team focuses on supporting the collaborative creation of high quality and consistent user interfaces in our product through the centralization of design values and creation of tools to implement those values. We do this through the development of 1Password’s own Design System, Knox.

Knox serves the UI needs of 1Password wherever it is implemented; our team of designers and developers work to create and manage reusable UI across our desktop and mobile apps. Join us to help define the future of how 1Password’s users use our product!

This is a remote position within the United States and Canada.

What we're looking for:

- You have 5+ years of experience in software development that includes building web components with Typescript and React.

- You have a passion for communication and collaboration with strong skills demonstrated in working effectively with teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional partners.

- You learn continuously, share knowledge, and mentor developers within and outside of your delivery team through pair programming, giving feedback to junior developers and peers on technical designs, merge requests, and other areas.

Bonus points for:

- Prior experience building and maintaining Design Systems

- Prior experience working across web and mobile platforms

What you can expect:

- Lead the development, testing and debugging of new and existing composable design system components.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and/or stakeholders to get a deep understanding of product requirements and align technical decisions with project goals and user requirements.

- Lead discussions to ensure that technical requirements are clearly communicated and understood. Proactively identify potential technical challenges and propose scalable solutions

- Set an example in code reviews by evaluating code quality, architectural alignment, performance, security, and adherence to best practices. Provide feedback, explain reasoning, and help team members understand and improve their code.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $153,000 USD and $214,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $144,000 CAD and $202,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
