JOB SUMMARY

Lead software/IT initiatives in a staff‑augmentation setting—ranging from a single dedicated engagement to multiple concurrent client engagements. Assignments may be part‑time or full‑time, and in some cases you will serve as Project Manager and/or Scrum Master for the team. You’ll orchestrate delivery, align diverse stakeholders (up to C‑level), and drive clarity, predictability, and healthy execution.

What you’ll do

- Initiation & onboarding: set ways of working with clients, confirm expectations and escalation paths, secure access/credentials, and ensure a clean kick‑off.

- Planning & flow: maintain a solid planning cadence (backlog health, capacity awareness, realistic commitments); keep scope/quality/time in balance and reduce waste.

- Delivery management: run Agile ceremonies, uphold Definition of Ready/Done for work items, manage changes/hotfixes, and keep releases on track without disrupting the roadmap.

- Risk & issue handling: identify risks early, communicate impact and trade‑offs, execute recovery plans, and escalate thoughtfully when needed.

- Stakeholders & communication: keep Product, Design, Architecture, QA, and client decision‑makers aligned; communicate changes, dependencies, and outcomes with clarity.

- Team enablement: remove blockers, clarify requirements, foster accountability and continuous improvement across one or more teams.

- Light reporting & hygiene: keep status crisp and ensure time approval/reporting processes don’t become delivery surprises.

What success looks like

- Productivity & efficiency: plans that fit capacity, fewer reworks/surprises, smoother handoffs and releases.

- Requirements health: well‑formed work (clear acceptance criteria, scope understood, realistic estimation) and less churn.

- Predictability: credible commitments, transparent trade‑offs, timely communication when plans need to adapt.

- Stakeholder confidence: consistent, proactive updates and follow‑through that earn trust.

Must‑have

- 5+ years in Project Management for software/IT (web/mobile/AI).

- Hands‑on Agile (Scrum/Kanban) across discovery → MVP → iterative delivery.

- Comfort engaging multiple stakeholders (incl. executives); excellent written and spoken English.

- Proven ability to run kick‑offs, keep plans/requirements healthy, manage changes/hotfixes, and keep teams unblocked.

- Fluency with Jira and Confluence (or similar), and standard collaboration/video tools; familiarity with time approval/reporting processes.

How you work (Soft skills & leadership)

- Initiative & ownership: You anticipate issues, propose options, take responsibility end‑to‑end, and close loops.

- Concise, executive‑ready communication: You get to the point, tailor to the audience, and are comfortable briefing C‑level; you communicate impact, options, and asks, and follow up in writing quickly.

- Escalation that adds value: You escalate with context, quantified impact, and clear options; you drive decisions and closure—not noise.

- Team support & enablement: You unblock, clarify requirements, and create conditions for the team to do their best work; you coach without micromanaging.

- Problem solving & RCA: You lead structured root cause analyses (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone), derive corrective/preventive actions, and prevent recurrence.

- Value‑add presence: Clients and teammates consistently feel your participation moves the project forward and improves outcomes.

Nice‑to‑have

- Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM); exposure to SAFe/LeSS.

- Technical background (Dev/QA/DevOps) or strong collaboration track record with Architecture/QA.

- Experience with AI/ML/Data Science projects (e.g., partnering with Data Science/ML Engineering; awareness of MLOps/experimentation, data pipelines, model lifecycle, evaluation/monitoring, analytics/BI; coordinating delivery of ML‑backed or LLM‑enabled features).

- Product Management / Product Owner experience (discovery, prioritization, roadmap shaping, stakeholder alignment).
