Sr Project Management Specialist

Job Description Summary This position covers the Project Director position in complex multi discipline project and to lead and provide directions to the project management team on execution of substation projects. Responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources. Role involves resource planning, Budget forecasting, Revenue, billing and cash forecasting for the unit based on the project’s execution plans. In this role the candidate should have clear understanding of the company objective on Customer Focus, EHS and compliance requirements. The person should have demonstrated leadership skills and is willing to work in a highly demanding environment. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. The role also requires the coordination with various discipline in Japan and also with the stake holders on various countries such as coordination with Lead centers in Europe and Asia and also with back office support from work from India and East Asia. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Manage the team of Project managers/Project engineers on execution of projects in Japan. Responsible for overseeing the projects and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for small-medium sized projects (size in relation to GE company) that may include equipment-only, suites of products or turnkey projects. Developing in-depth knowledge of technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
