HRSG Field Engineer

Job Description Summary The HRSG Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing tasks related to the installation and commissioning of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) at customer sites. This includes managing site mobilization, civil works, erection, commissioning, and related management activities. The role requires strict adherence to Quality, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, and applicable processes, ensuring completion within the agreed time frame and budget. The position affects departmental operations, involving planning and execution of activities. While the role operates with some autonomy, it primarily focuses on executing tasks within established functional practices and procedures, requiring judgment and guidance as needed. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Oversee site activities related to the installation and commissioning of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and associated equipment. Assist the Erector in the installation of HRSG components, including piping and auxiliary systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications. Interpret sketches and drawings for construction, ensuring installation of pressure parts, equipment, modules, and piping according to specified requirements and installation sequence. Review and ensure that HRSG installation method statements are prepared safely and effectively. Report commercial and technical deviations with quality records/non-conformance reports (NCR) and follow up until resolution. Ensure all necessary documents, such as Inspection Test Plans (ITPL), reports, and quality documentation, are provided by subcontractors/partners during system turnover certification. Support resolution of technical issues with GE Vernova engineering using the reporting system tools, such as submitting Engineering Request (ER) cases for site installation clarification.
