Lead Electrical Engineer - Supplier Quality

Job Description Summary Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Supplier Quality Assurance & Development Lead supplier qualification, approval, and requalification activities, including audits, action plans, and performance monitoring. Develop, deploy, and track supplier improvement plans aligned with industrial standards of excellence. Support suppliers in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using FMEAs, control plans, and process capability assessments. Build and implement robust solutions for non-conformances, coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and field teams. Technical & Engineering Interface Apply strong technical understanding of transformer design, manufacturing, and testing to assess supplier capability and resolve quality issues. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards related to transformers and associated components. Act as a technical liaison between suppliers, internal engineering teams, field service, and customers. Provide quality and technical support for field issues, customer complaints, and service-related quality events. Project & Operational Impact Impact projects, processes, and procedures within the supplier quality discipline by applying professional judgment and technical expertise.
