Job Description Summary In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of professionals and providing payroll and benefits administration support to the GE businesses while focusing on enterprise standards, compliance and standardization. This role will also develop solid relationships with key stakeholders to maintain operational performance through leveraging metrics and trends and identifying areas for improvement. Job Description In this role, you will oversee the implementation of employment tax compliance activity within People Operations in the North America (NAM) region. You will partner closely with the GE Vernova Tax Team, taking their advice and guidance on regional tax matters, and applying this as required. In doing so, you will work closely with internal stakeholders such as HR, Payroll, Legal, and Accounting teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment tax regulations. This role requires the incumbent to stay up to date on changes in employment tax regulations and their applications to payroll processing, leveraging the guidance and advice provided by the GE Vernova Tax Team. Roles and Responsibilities Oversee the implementation of employment tax compliance activity in People Operations within the assigned region Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment tax regulations through development of audit controls for paycodes Partner with the GE Vernova Tax Team and other tax specialists, and supports employment tax audit discussions with authorities as necessary Support on audit settlements and ensures timely decision making in relation to audit negotiations, under guidance from the GE Vernova Tax Team Stay up to date on changes in employment tax regulations leveraging the guidance and advice provided by the GE Vernova Tax Team Develop and implement best practices for the implementation of employment tax compliance activity across the region Under the guidance and advice of the GE Verno...
