Role Overview
This role supports day-to-day bookkeeping operations while contributing to process improvement across accounting, auditing, and reporting workflows. The Bookkeeper & Process Improvement Specialist will be responsible for accurate financial data management and for identifying opportunities to streamline systems and procedures using modern tools.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with financial data, documentation, and modern tools, including AI, to create smarter, more efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
BOOKKEEPING & FINANCIAL SUPPORT
- Execute bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Support tax preparation and auditing processes as needed
- Maintain clean, organized, and up-to-date financial records
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & SYSTEMS
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for optimization
- Improve auditing and reporting processes through better systems and documentation
- Develop, document, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
TOOLS, DATA & COMMUNICATION
- Use Excel and QuickBooks to organize, analyze, and report financial data
- Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks such as email management and follow-ups
- Manage email communications professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
