Job Title: JD Edwards (JDE) Consultant – Job Cost & Billing Expert Location: Remote + Travel Duration: 12 Months Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced JD Edwards (JDE) Consultant specializing in Job Cost and Contract/Service Billing within the EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning) domain. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise, hands-on implementation experience, and strong business process knowledge to optimize project financial management, billing operations, and ERP-driven workflows in large-scale project environments. Key Responsibilities JD Edwards Functional Expertise Lead implementation, configuration, and optimization of: Job Cost Management Contract Billing Service Billing Manage end-to-end project lifecycle processes, including: Project setup and budgeting Cost tracking and forecasting Revenue recognition Progress and milestone billing Time & Material billing Configure and manage contract structures, billing rules, retainage, and change orders Ensure accurate project financial reporting and compliance Business Process & Operations Analyze, design, and map business processes for project accounting and billing Recommend and implement process improvements aligned with industry best practices Collaborate with finance, project controls, and operations teams System Integration & Cross-Functional Support Support integration with key modules: General Ledger (GL) Accounts Receivable (AR) Procurement Inventory Payroll / Time Entry Implementation & Support Lead ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements Gather and translate business requirements into system configurations Conduct SIT and UAT testing and support go-live activities Provide user training and documentation Troubleshoot functional issues and optimize system performance Industry-Specific Expertise (EPCC Preferred) Support large-scale capital project accounting Manage complex contract types, including: Lump Sum Cost Plus Unit Price Time & Material Handle multi-entity and multi-currency project environments Work with WBS structures, project controls, and cost breakdowns Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field 15+ years of hands-on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience Strong expertise in: Job Cost Contract Billing Service Billing Proven experience in ERP implementation and delivery Strong understanding of project accounting principles Experience collaborating with cross-functional business teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in EPCC / Construction / Engineering industries Knowledge of project lifecycle management and project controls Experience with system integrations and reporting tools PMP, CPA, or ERP certifications (nice to have) Key Skills ERP Functional Consulting Project Accounting Billing & Revenue Management Business Process Reengineering System Implementation Stakeholder Communication
