Abour the Senior Analyst, Strategic Operations role
We are looking for a talented Senior Analyst to join our Strategic Operations team, with a primary focus on driving GMV growth across our product portfolio and elevating SiteMinder’s Smart Platform Strategy.
As an integral part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decisions and contributing to the success of our organisation. You will also task with cross-functional collaboration to drive booking performance across different products by ensuring participating hotels have competitive, bookable, and optimally distributed rates and inventory.
In this role, you will work alongside a pool of talented Analysts and collaborate with the Strategy, Analytics, Operations, Lifecycle and Customer teams while leveraging our rich data ecosystem and a world class Data stack to drive business impact at speed and scale.
What you have...
- Extensive experience in an analytical role with focus on pricing, revenue management, OTA optimization, or distribution management (e.g., Revenue Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst).
- Bachelor's in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Hospitality Management); Master's a plus.
- Strong understanding of OTA pricing dynamics, parity, and yield management principles.
- A self-starter with high energy and a bias for action who can drive optimization initiatives independently.
- A humble team player who thrives on constructive feedback and can influence hotel partners on pricing decisions.
- Skilled at collaborating with leaders and translating complex pricing analysis into compelling, data-driven recommendations that drive partner behavior.
- Detail-oriented and critical thinker who loves data deep dives, first principles thinking about pricing strategy, and managing multiple optimization projects to deliver strong results.
Technical skills
- SQL: Advanced SQL skills for extracting, manipulating, and interpreting pricing and booking data (Snowflake or Databricks experience preferred)
- Data Visualization: Strong proficiency in creating pricing and performance dashboards using Tableau, Looker, or Power BI with ability to design views for both strategic and operational audiences
- Excel/Google Sheets: Advanced skills in pricing model building, competitive analysis, and data manipulation using functions (lookups, pivots, formatting, transformation, visualization)
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze dynamic trends, identify optimization opportunities, and develop data-driven recommendations
What you will do...
- Analytics & Optimization: Act as the crucial link between Strategy, Product, and Data teams, using creative data interpretation and experimentation to refine pricing algorithms, develop inventory optimization playbooks, and drive business growth across high-volume and long-tail hotels.
- Drive Pricing & Inventory Strategy: Leverage our extensive data to monitor each channel’s price parity and competitiveness, analyze booking performance to identify rate plans and inventory gaps, and deliver data-driven recommendations that maximize conversion and GMV for hotels.
- Dashboard Development & Reporting: Partner with business, product, and hotel partners to build and maintain essential dashboards using tools like Tableau, HighTouch, and Heap to track quality of the inventory and booking performance for leadership and operational teams.
- Data Advocacy & Influence: Champion data-driven pricing decisions across the organization and with hotel partners. Run optimization campaigns targeting low-conversion or underperforming hotels, provide insights on pricing and availability trends to inform partner strategy, and implement corrective actions to improve rate competitiveness.
