Role Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will serve as the front line of the client’s go-to-market efforts, identifying high-potential leads, building relationships with hospitality operators, and helping bring them onto the platform. This role will work closely with Account Executives, fellow BDRs, and the B2B Growth team to refine outbound tactics, test new channels, and generate a steady pipeline of qualified merchants. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, curious, and comfortable engaging daily with restaurant owners, general managers, and operators.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
- Prospect and qualify new leads across CRM, inbound, and outbound channels.
- Own outreach through email, phone, and social platforms (HubSpot sequences, Instagram DM, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Engage hospitality operators to understand their business, challenges, and fit for the client’s platform.
Collaboration & Pipeline Management
- Partner with Account Executives to schedule demos, craft messaging, and share learnings.
- Maintain CRM hygiene by tracking activities, updating lead stages, and supporting accurate pipeline reporting.
- Provide insights to marketing, data, and product teams to improve campaign performance.
Optimization & Experimentation
- Test and optimize outbound cadences, lead scoring models, and messaging strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve outbound efficiency and conversion rates.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2+ years in a BDR, SDR, or sales-adjacent role (SaaS, hospitality tech, or agency experience a plus).
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with empathy for small business owners and hospitality operators.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and metrics-driven.
- Eager to learn and curious about AI tools, GTM systems, and restaurant growth strategies.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-iteration environment.
- Deep interest in food, restaurants, and culinary culture, particularly within the U.S.

- Consistent achievement of qualified demo goals (weekly and monthly).
- Tangible contribution to pipeline growth and new merchant activations.
- Actionable insights and experimentation that improve outbound efficiency (e.g., open, click, and reply rates).
- High-quality communication and operator engagement
- Strong collaboration with AEs, marketing, and product teams
