THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Social Video Editor at Flock Safety, you’ll be at the center of how our brand connects with audiences online. You’ll edit and produce social-first videos that showcase the power of our technology, celebrate our customers, and tell compelling stories that inspire action.

You’ll bring an editor’s eye for rhythm and pacing, a creator’s understanding of what drives engagement, and a marketer’s instinct for what works across platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with our videographers, motion designers, and entire marketing team to produce a high volume of thumb-stopping, on-brand content that drives awareness, affinity, and growth.

If you’re energized by speed, creativity, and the ever-changing nature of social storytelling, this is your chance to build one of the most exciting brands in public safety.

- Edit and deliver short-form videos for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Meta that align with brand campaigns, product launches, and customer storytelling.

- Translate raw footage into polished, high-impact content with strong pacing, music selection, transitions, and narrative flow.

- Collaborate with the videographer and motion designer to integrate 2D/3D motion graphics, captions, and visual effects that elevate storytelling.

- Adapt long-form video content into short, platform-native edits optimized for social feeds.

- Find ways to implement AI tools into the workflow for scale and efficiency, while maintaining an authentic look and feel to the content.

- Maintain a consistent visual and tonal identity across all social assets while experimenting with trends, sound design, and new formats.

- Work closely with the content and social teams to interpret briefs, refine concepts, and bring ideas to life.

- Manage multiple edits and deliverables simultaneously, balancing craft and speed without compromising quality.

- Stay current on social video trends, creators, and editing styles, bringing fresh inspiration to Flock’s storytelling.

- Contribute to the development of editing templates and workflow efficiencies that scale social video production across the team.

THE SKILLSET

- 3–5 years of experience as a video editor, ideally on a busy in-house or agency social team.

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).

- Experience editing for short-form social platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts).

- An understanding of motion design principles; either hands-on or through close collaboration with motion designers.

- Proven ability to balance storytelling and social engagement, using rhythm, cuts, sound, and copy to drive performance.

- A strong portfolio showcasing your range of social video work, creative instincts, and technical skill.

- Comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative environment where feedback is frequent and collaboration is key.

- A passion for emerging trends, AI editing tools, and new social formats that push creative boundaries.

- Bonus: Experience with sound design, color grading, or light animation (Lottie, After Effects) is a plus.
