Job Title: Amphibian and Reptile Research Associate Department: FAES | School of Environment and Natural Resources Job Description Assists in the planning, execution, and monitoring of a variety of projects throughout Ohio related to the conservation and recovery of amphibians and reptiles. The position reports to the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Coordinator. Implements the Ohio Conservation Plan for the Eastern Hellbender and Eastern Massasauga and develops and implements conservation plans for other Ohio species of conservation concern. Specific duties of the position include: surveying and monitoring, including capturing, marking, and measuring animals; collecting samples for genetic analysis and pathogen screening; preparing museum voucher specimens; conducting habitat assessments, including vegetation assessments, water chemistry, zig-zag pebble counts, and QHEI; maintaining and disinfecting field equipment and supplies; leading seasonal staff; working cooperatively with partners, including local, state, and f...
