What You’ll Teach

Key topics include:

- Contract law (including offer, acceptance, consideration, and enforceability)

- Torts and their implications for businesses

- Commercial paper and negotiable instruments

- Intellectual property protections and business strategy

- Alternative dispute resolution methods

- Legal implications of artificial intelligence and data privacy

- Case-based legal analysis and reasoning

Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions

- Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.

- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation.

- Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.

- Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community.

- Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement practices.

- Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations.

- Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and continuously improve instruction.

- Contribute to co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience.

- Stay current on industry and pedagogy trends relevant to your subject area and online teaching.
