Overview
A well-established, relationship-driven public accounting firm within the Crete Professionals Alliance family is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its growing Captive Insurance Tax practice.
This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional to step into a highly specialized, in-demand niche that blends complex compliance with meaningful advisory work. The role offers direct exposure to closely held businesses and high-net-worth clients, with the ability to play a key role in shaping and expanding a developing practice area.
Position Summary
The Tax Manager / Senior Manager will lead the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for captive insurance structures and related entities. This individual will serve as a technical resource and client advisor, supporting both day-to-day compliance and higher-level planning, structuring, and controversy matters.
This role is best suited for someone who can operate in a specialist capacity, while also contributing to client relationships and practice growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review tax compliance for captive insurance companies and related entities
- Provide technical guidance on IRC ยง831(b) and insurance-specific tax considerations
- Advise clients on captive structuring, including risk distribution and risk shifting principles
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships
