Position Summary The Community Outreach Coordinator develops, facilitates, and implements outreach activities, special events, programs, and presentations that support member education and health plan awareness within the Medicaid or Medicare population and the community. This person develops and maintains relationships with community organizations, while also maintaining marketing guideline compliance with the appropriate state's laws and regulations. What you will do: Ensures required documentation is in place for membership, leader-driven activities, and events. Manages on-site event staffing, and handles any problems or emergencies that may arise, serving as the primary contact for sponsors and event providers. Coordinates event logistics including reserving space, catering, communications, distributing materials, facilities support, and setup/breakdown for the event. Creates and maintains a calendar based around community events, in order to assist the department with community and member awareness. Seeks out and secures event sponsorship by building and maintaining relationships with community contacts. Prepares formal presentations for potential sponsors and members. Conducts new member orientations and leads engagement events and activities. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience with community outreach and/or event planning. 3-5 years of previous Medicaid experience.
