About the job

Vynca is seeking a strategic Director of Platform to lead the development of our healthcare data and application platforms. This role will oversee a high-performing engineering organization responsible for building scalable data infrastructure, modern applications, and complex healthcare data integrations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with deep healthcare data expertise and a passion for building high-impact teams.

What you'll do

LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

- Lead and grow a 15–25 person engineering organization, including managers and individual contributors.

- Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture while mentoring team members in technical and professional growth.

HEALTHCARE DATA INTEGRATION

- Architect and oversee secure, scalable data pipelines and ETL solutions for ingesting and standardizing healthcare data.

- Work with industry standards including HL7, FHIR, CCDA, and EDI X12.

- Ensure systems comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2 requirements.

PLATFORM & APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

- Lead development of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) utilizing medallion architecture.

- Oversee development of internal and customer-facing applications using modern frameworks such as Angular, React, and TypeScript, with backend services in Java, Python, and Scala.
