Tremendous

🌍 North America 🏠 Remote ⏱ Part-time 💼 Manager 🗓 4 days ago

Tremendous is the global platform built for businesses to send thousands of payouts to anyone, anywhere, for free. We're trusted by 20,000 leading organizations like Google, GitHub, and Notion to deliver gift cards and money to millions of recipients worldwide — researchers, marketers, HR teams, and nonprofits who need to send payments quickly and easily.

Tremendous is a fully remote, high-documentation, low-meeting culture. We're profitable and growing without outside investors. Join us before our next offsite https://handbook.tremendous.com/handbook-entries/offsites.

You will:

- Lead one of our engineering teams (we currently have six).

- We're hiring for multiple teams—Banking, Catalog, and Prepaid Cards—and will match you to the team where your strengths will have the most impact.

- Grow your engineers' careers through 1:1s, thoughtful feedback, and coaching.

- Own technical quality — through code reviews, architecture decisions, and setting standards your team is proud of.

- Report to our Director of Engineering, Chloe https://www.linkedin.com/in/chloe-i-76116089/

How we manage at Tremendous:

- Async-first, low-meeting culture. We default to writing things down. You will not be stuck in back-to-back meetings.

- Stable ground to build on. Our infrastructure is reliable, we rarely have incidents, and our tech debt is under control. You'll be leading a team that ships — not one stuck firefighting.

You have:

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years leading a team as a manager or tech lead.

- Great technical judgment. You are consistently right on technical approaches, and can explain why.
