Field Service Technician - Services and Commissioning

Job Description Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Field Service Technician to support the commissioning, service, and lifecycle performance of advanced power electronics systems. In this customer-facing role, you will lead on-site activities, provide expert technical guidance, and ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality delivery across complex electrical installations. This position requires extensive travel (90%+) within the home country and internationally, offering exposure to diverse projects, customers, and technologies across industrial, energy, and marine environments. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Pre-commission, commission, and service static frequency converters (SFC) and variable frequency (VFD) low voltage and medium voltage drives/switchgear/transformers and power systems. Provide technical assistance and supervision to customers on the installations. Conduct on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction. Provide management with complete and prompt information and report regarding safety & project/service status, customer or equipment problems, and failures, Provide technical assistance through on-site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment. Provide and assist quality team with root cause analysis and generate reports in case of equipment malfunction or failures to identify/analyse any undesirable trends. Complete site documentations such as weekly safety update, installations check lists, pre-commissioning, and commissioning procedures. Hands-on on-site parts replacement, testing, and verification of electrical equipment. Adhere with company Health and Safety policies and work in safe and best practice manner to ensure the wellbeing of personnel and equipment are not compromised.
