Must be located in US and be a US citizen. Work Type: Full-time; Schedule: Startup pace; outcomes matter most Our client is building a wearable biometric platform for military, VA, and federal health use cases. What You’ll Do Build secure backend systems from zero to one Own APIs, data pipelines, and cloud architecture Connect wearable sensors to clinical dashboards Design GovCloud systems for federal users Support FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST, and DFARS paths Build real-time biometric data workflows Harden systems for audit-ready environments Help hire and shape the first technical team Must-Haves 5+ years backend or full-stack engineering Strong API and cloud architecture skills Government cloud or secure cloud experience FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST, DFARS, or HIPAA/HITECH exposure U.S. citizenship required Texas-based or willing to relocate to Austin Nice to Have AWS GovCloud or Azure Government experience Biometric, wearable, or device-cloud experience Active Secret, TS, or TS/SCI clearance Founding engineer or early-stage startup experience HL7, FHIR, CCDA, VA RPM, or CMS experience SBIR, OTA, or DoD acquisition exposure Perks & Pay Pay: $185K–$275K base, based on level Health, dental, and vision benefits Equity built for a true technical owner Path toward co-founder-level impact if earned Relocation help for the right candidate Schedule & Setup Startup pace; not a clock-in role Austin is strongly preferred, but qualified candidates elsewhere in the US are encouraged to apply.
