FRACTIONAL SENIOR FULL STACK ENGINEER (STABILIZATION / AI-GENERATED CODE)

Location: Remote (LATAM & Eastern Europe)
Type: Contract / Fractional (10–40 hrs/week)

OVERVIEW

We’re hiring a senior, hands-on engineer to support multiple early-stage products that need stabilization.

Most projects were built quickly by non-technical founders using AI tools. As a result, codebases are often incomplete, inconsistent, or fragile.

This role is focused on reviewing, fixing, and stabilizing existing systems not just building new features.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Review and assess existing codebases (often AI-generated or founder-built)

- Identify bugs, structural issues, and technical risks

- Refactor and stabilize applications for production use

- Improve performance, structure, and maintainability

- Fill gaps in core functionality (auth, payments, backend logic)

- Implement lightweight QA / testing where needed

- Collaborate with engineers, QA, and project leads

- Work across multiple projects as priorities shift

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- 5+ years of full stack experience

- Strong experience working in messy / inherited codebases

- Comfortable operating without full documentation

- Proven ability to take products from MVP → stable product

- Practical, solution-oriented mindset (not theoretical)

- Strong communication and team collaboration

- Comfortable in fast-moving, delivery-focused environments

TECH STACK (FLEXIBLE)

- Python (FastAPI, Django) - preferred

- Node.js / TypeScript

- React / Next.js

- Firebase, Supabase, or similar

- APIs & modern web architectures

ENGAGEMENT MODEL

- Fractional, hourly

- 10–40 hrs/week depending on project load

- Initial engagements ~4 weeks

- Ongoing work across multiple client projects
