Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Full-Time Quick Facts Pay: Negotiable based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities Location: Titusville (Brevard Co.) Schedule: full-time Employment type: W-2 Mileage: Currently $0.60 per mile Reports to: Branch Director What You'll Do Deliver therapy under the PT's direction and physician's plan of care Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain performance Guide patients through exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and transfer training, and prosthetic training Apply heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage as ordered Report patient response and changes in condition to the PT Teach patients to use wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices Document care accurately and on time Participate in Home Care Team meetings and inservice education Take on other duties as assigned Qualifications Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate's degree in science or applied science approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, Inc. Current certification or license as required by state law. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
