The Role Key Responsibilities Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute Japan’s modernization strategy with explicit governance/compliance considerations. Application Strategy: Lead application portfolio rationalization and cloud-native architecture transition, reducing technical debt and improving development velocity. Go-to-Market Leadership: Integrate plays such as Mainframe & IBM i modernization, Power Modernization (Skytap), Cloud shift, operational excellence (Bridge/Automation, SRE/FinOps) to expand pipeline and improve win rates. Deal Origination & Qualification: Drive white-space penetration and new logos; rigorous qualification and risk management. Alliances & Ecosystem: Orchestrate Hyperscaler/ISV collaboration; enable sales teams with assets and approaches nationwide. Value Realization: Establish KPIs, value realization plans, and outcome reporting (Time-to-Value, run-rate savings, reliability KPIs). Stakeholder Management: Engage executives and delivery leaders across customer and global teams; facilitate decision-making. Delivery Governance: Gate management, architecture compliance, security/resilience adherence. Talent & Capability: Build and develop Band D-caliber talent; codify skills and certifications aligned to modernization plays. Thought Leadership: Publish pragmatic best practices tailored to Japan’s cautious, incremental change posture.
