Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within of Solar Storage Systems (SSS) department. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, energy storage technologies, and a solid understanding of commissioning protocols. You will be responsible for executing functional testing, system verification, troubleshooting, and ensuring projects meet performance and safety standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Execute commissioning procedures for utility-scale BESS systems, including battery management systems (BMS), inverters, switchgear, and SCADA interfaces. Perform pre-functional and functional testing of all system components according to commissioning plans. Conduct point-to-point checks, insulation resistance tests, performance tests, and system startup. Identify and troubleshoot issues related to electrical, control, and communication systems. Document test results, prepare commissioning reports, and maintain logs of issues and resolutions. Coordinate with lead commissioning engineer, project managers, subcontractors and help ensure project milestones are met. Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
