Lead Design Specialist- Plant Layout and Program Integration

Job Description Summary The Plant Layout and Program Integration team is a cross-functional engineering discipline responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight of a technical team of engineers and designers responsible for the systems, structures & components design layout of the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Nuclear Island, Turbine Island and Balance of Plant into the 3D BIM Model. Perform conceptual design, including layouts, arrangements and construction drawings for the development and detailed design of complete systems, complex mechanisms, or assemblies. Original design activity will require full knowledge of design principles, drafting procedures and manufacturing capabilities. Provide Design, Drafting and Detailing support for the preparation of documentation for various mechanical engineering and tooling projects. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and leadership on optimized layout & arrangement of Mechanical Plant Systems and Components within the Turbine Island (TI) and Balance of Plant (BOP), including arrangement of BWR Turbine Generator Equipment, Condenser and Radwaste Systems. Evaluate plant layout equipment & components for adequate accessibility for maintenance and inspection, including allocation of pull out and lay down space. Support potential new NPP customers with Power Block Plot Plan, including layout of interconnections with Switchyard, Service Water & Closed Cooling Water Systems.
