Lead Engineer- Integrated Plant Design

Job Description Summary Plant Systems Integration engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on a unique approach, mindset, and process. All integration activities consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user’s needs. Plant Integration executes a robust process of conceptualization, design, and optimization of systems. This consists of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs, and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Plant Integration is an essential function that proceeds from concept to production to operation. Plant Integration impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Conducts overall product, system, and component integration activities. All design and deployment activities are concerned with how to integrate in order to deliver the best product(s) for the user. Conducts activities with product and system requirements, plant-level specifications, and design requirement flow down. Facilitates and drives interface between multiple areas of the organization including Project, Product, Engineering, Sales, Licensing, etc. Has knowledge of best practices and how different areas integrate with others Uses judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated challenges with technical variety Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
