Job Title Email Marketing Strategist & Copywriter Role Overview We’re looking for a strategic Email Writer with deep US SaaS experience who can own email campaigns end-to-end — from strategy and segmentation to copy and optimization. This is not a “write 5 emails and move on” role. We want someone who understands why an email is being sent, who it’s for, and what action it should drive. Key Responsibilities Design email marketing strategies aligned with SaaS growth goals (lead gen, activation, upsell, retention) Write high-converting emails for: Lead nurturing & onboarding Product updates & feature launches Re-engagement & churn reduction Sales enablement & lifecycle campaigns Collaborate on audience segmentation, positioning, and messaging Create email sequences, not just one-off emails Optimize subject lines, CTAs, and structure based on performance data Ensure tone, clarity, and compliance for the US market Work with marketing/sales teams to align email with funnel stages Required Experience & Skills Proven experience writing and strategizing emails for US-based SaaS companies Strong understanding of: SaaS funnels (trial → activation → paid → expansion) B2B or B2C SaaS buyer psychology Ability to think strategically before writing copy Excellent command of clear, persuasive, US-native English Experience with email platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Customer.io, Klaviyo, Marketo, Brevo, Pipedrive etc.) Comfortable using data (open rates, CTR, conversions) to refine messaging Nice to Have Experience working with founders or growth teams A/B testing mindset Familiarity with compliance (CAN-SPAM, unsubscribe best practices) Experience in fast-growing or early-stage SaaS environments What Success Looks Like Emails that drive action, not just opens Clear messaging aligned with user intent and lifecycle stage Strategic input, not just execution Consistent improvement in engagement and conversions
