ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sales Estimator will support the Midwest Territory by preparing detailed, accurate quotes for commercial kitchen projects. The role involves close collaboration with outside sales representatives, manufacturers, and customers to ensure each quotation aligns with project specifications, budget requirements, and delivery expectations.
This position is ideal for someone with foodservice equipment experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for supporting operatorsโ project goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quotation & Sales Support
- Review customer requests, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and equipment needs.
- Prepare detailed, accurate quotations using manufacturer catalogs, pricing systems (e.g., AutoQuotes/AQ360), and internal databases.
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives to tailor proposals to client budgets, preferences, and project goals.
- Communicate with manufacturers to obtain updated pricing, product information, and availability.
- Recommend alternative products or value-engineered solutions to meet customer needs.
- Ensure all quotations comply with bid requirements and customer expectations.
Customer Interaction
- Serve as the main point of contact for inbound quote requests, pricing inquiries, and product questions.
- Provide timely, professional responses via phone, email, and digital platforms.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations, track bid results, and keep sales teams informed of customer decisions.
- Support account managers in developing long-term client relationships through dependable service.
Coordination & Administration
- Maintain organized records of quotations, revisions, and communications within CRM systems.
- Coordinate with design and project management teams to ensure accuracy between quoted equipment and final order details.
- Assist with order entry and project documentation once quotes are approved.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, estimating, or quoting, ideally within the foodservice equipment and/or hospitality industry.
- Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and manufacturers (e.g., Electrolux, Midea, Hoshizaki).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Outlook.
- Experience with AutoQuotes/AQ360 is a plus (training provided).

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and provide accurate information with consistency and professionalism.
