ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a driven and results-oriented Senior Onboarding Specialist who is excited to manage the onboarding journey for global customers, particularly within emerging markets, whilst maintaining compliance with international regulation.

This is your chance to play a pivotal role in our Onboarding Specialists team, moving beyond "processing files", to become a key contributor to the development of our global client journey. We are looking for a growth-minded specialist, not just a reviewer. You won't just be checking IDs; you will be shaping our onboarding DNA, bridging the gap between high-speed Sales and iron-clad Compliance for a rapidly scaling Fintech.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

- Scale Without Borders: Own the end-to-end onboarding journey for diverse businesses across the globe. You’ll dive deep into complex corporate structures and make the final call on who we partner with.

- Build 360° Client Profiles: Use a mix of client data, external intelligence, and our cutting-edge RegTech stack to build comprehensive, data-driven KYC/KYB profiles.

- The "Human" Element: Interact directly with our customers. You aren't a robot - you provide concise, professional, and well-articulated guidance that makes the complex feel simple.

- Tactical Partner to Sales: Partner closely with our Sales team to ensure our clients move from lead to live in record time.

- Frontline Feedback Loop: You are the eyes and ears of the process. You’ll provide meaningful frontline feedback to Product teams to eliminate friction and help us build "bleeding edge" onboarding features.

- Knowledge Sharer: Stay ahead of the curve on financial crime trends. You don’t just keep this to yourself - you’ll mentor your teammates and level up Onboarding Ops.

WHAT YOU NEED

- Minimum tertiary education background.

- At least 3 years working as a KYC/Onboarding Analyst in a regulated firm.

- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulation including but not limited to the DFSA AML Rulebook, CBUAE Rulebook, Federal Decree AML Law (10) 2025, Money Laundering Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, JMLSG and a strong understanding of the current sanctions environment, is essential.

- Understanding of the UAE regulatory landscape, particularly DFSA (DIFC) and CBUAE aligned KYB/KYC requirements.

- Horizon scanning awareness - someone who keeps abreast of regulatory change that may affect the KYC space.

- Thorough understanding of complex structures including but not limited to trusts and the ability to unwrap beneficial ownership to the required levels.

- Understanding of the nuances of Emerging Markets, with a particular focus on Africa and the Middle East.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills - confidence to speak and present to leadership and wider business teams.

- Strong work ethic and the desire to perform well consistently.

- A collaborative spirit with the ability to influence non-technical partners (e.g. Sales, Product) on complex risk issues.

BEST IF YOU HAVE

- Experience gained in a high-growth FinTech or payments environment.

- Relevant recognised AML/CTF qualifications / certifications is preferred.
