Job Description Summary The Technical Field Advisor II (TFA) provides on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for their Turbine Generator Systems. Responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID’s, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labor, tools and materials as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements. The primary responsibility of the TFA II is to safely accomplish the maintenance and repair of the various equipment used in power generation applications. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our Steam Power vision and align with our organization’s core values. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Fulfill contract responsibilities for designated and qualified skill set (Turbine Mechanical, Generator) Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures utilizing the latest electronic communication, references and documentation technologies. Recognize, predict and document potential failures and future outage recommendations Working knowledge of prints/print reading, such as manufacturing drawings, P&IDs and schematic drawings Participate as a Service Team member dedicated to Safety metrics. Pre-outage planning; possibly recommending and administering policies and procedures Lead execution and oversight of projects under the TFA’s core competency Execute project management and technical leader duties Support warranty administration Troubleshoot and problem solve with the support of engineering to resolve customer issues Perform other duties as assigned Support business needs when not on field assignment Willingness and ability to travel as required by field assignments Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related t...
