Systems Engineer - Full time remote - based in India Job Description The Systems Engineer is responsible for providing advanced systems, network, and security support for managed services and internal platforms. This role focuses on network infrastructure, firewall management, cloud platforms, information security, and systems automation, while also helping close strategic capability gaps within the engineering team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong fundamentals in networking and firewalls, combined with experience in Azure, security tooling, automation, and platform administration. This role will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, and Business Systems teams to support and evolve ASI’s technical environment. Job Conditions Type of contract: permanent. Start date: ASAP Network & Firewall Responsibilities • Configure, manage, and support firewall platforms and security policies • Maintain VPN solutions (site to site and client VPNs) • Support routing, switching, and network troubleshooting • Ensure secure and reliable connectivity across on premises and cloud environments Cloud & Azure Responsibilities • Support and manage Microsoft Azure environments • Assist with cloud migration initiatives, including transitions from hosted providers to Azure • Help manage Azure infrastructure components such as networking, compute, storage, and backups • Support hybrid environments and connectivity between on premises and cloud platforms Information Security & Compliance Responsibilities • Support Infosec operations, including: o Endpoint and security tooling (e.g., Sophos) o Vulnerability management and remediation o Data governance and compliance initiatives (e.g., Microsoft Purview) • Assist with security audits, compliance efforts, and policy enforcement • Participate in threat identification and security incident response Systems, Automation & DevOps Responsibilities • Support and administer ITIL processes, including configuration, workflows, and integrations • Assist in designing and improving automation for systems operations • Support integrations between platforms working with APIs, scripting, and automation tools to streamline operations • Contribute to DevOps-style initiatives that bridge infrastructure, cloud, and applications Education and/or Experience • 3+ years of experience in a medium or large size organization. • Strong hands on experience with: o Firewalls, networking, and VPN technologies o Windows-based infrastructure and systems support • Experience working in managed services or client-facing environments preferred
