NDE Specialist

Job Description Summary As a member of the Condition Assessment Team, Field Inspection Services, you will be an active contributor to the engineering assessment and disposition of boiler components. This role will require you to lead and complete Non-destructive projects in the field to support the engineering analysis of high energy and low temperature components. This will entail conducting and documenting the results of a field assessment then closing out with our customers on field results. Job Description Success in this role looks like: Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating mastery of basic Non-destructive disciplines with working knowledge of some of the advanced Non-destructive methods such as phased array ultrasonic inspection and basic metallurgical evaluations . You will be an indispensable NDE Specialist, with excellent knowledge in inspection technologies, writing and communication skills, and an ability to manage job time and lead inspection efforts for our engineering team and our customers. Who You Are: You are someone who brings excellent communication and inspection skills to the team. You have experience with leading inspection efforts, executing inspection plans and working with customers to resolve potentially impactful issues in a professional manner. You have advanced experience with Non-destructive methodologies and a depth of knowledge in providing the right inspection techniques to unique challenges. Your Role: Set up and calibrate Non-destructive (NDT) testing equipment. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection. Establish techniques for proper examination of object under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Organize and report test results. Perform specialized inspections.
