The Role A z/OS System Programmer is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing technical support of IBM z/OS operating systems and related subsystems. The role ensures high availability, performance, stability, and security of enterprise mainframe environments. Responsibilities: Upgrading, maintaining and supporting z/OS operating systems Upgrading, maintaining and supporting ISV products Providing technical support for customer, implementing changes and resolving assigned problems (may involve some after hours and weekend work) Providing 24x7 after hours on-call support as required for products supported by the team Personal compliance and ownership on security, audit and systems integrity posture Highlighting areas for improvement in current processes, and implementing improvements As a Mainframe Systems Programmer at Kyndryl, you'll have the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. You'll be a master troubleshooter and problem-solver, with the skills to fix even the most complex issues that arise. In this role, you'll provide the underlying Mainframe operating system platform programming support that forms the backbone of our applications.
