The Role

We are hiring a Senior Manager of Accounting to lead and scale our accounting function. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to dive deep into the details and leading cross-functional initiatives that shape our financial infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in Overjet’s growth journey by owning critical accounting processes, managing the month-end close, working directly with auditors, drafting technical memos, and overseeing financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in operational and technical accounting, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is energized by solving complex problems with a high degree of ownership.

Responsibilities

-  Lead and own the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal reporting packages

- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

- Manage the external audit process, including all PBC requests, auditor communications, and internal coordination across teams

- Draft and review technical accounting memos (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350) and ensure compliance with evolving GAAP standards

- Maintain and improve accounting processes for AR, AP, payroll, expense reports, stock-based compensation, and intercompany activity
