We enable operational agility, visibility, and execution across planning through fulfillment and partner operations. Our focus is on modernizing workflows through strategic integrations, scalable automation, and seamless data flows empowering better decisions, reliable operations, and sustainable growth as OpenAI evolves.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Platform Engineer within our Supply Chain Technology pod to help build the next generation of supply chain systems at OpenAI. In this role, you’ll design and develop backend services, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and distributed applications that support critical supply chain workflows and partner connectivity. You’ll work on systems that need to be scalable, secure, and resilient, while partnering closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineers across the stack.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex systems problems, working across application and data boundaries, and applying strong engineering fundamentals to business-critical platforms. You should be comfortable moving between architecture, hands-on development, technical problem-solving, and operational ownership.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and optimizing scalable distributed systems using cloud-native technologies and modern service-oriented architectures.
- Developing backend applications, integrations, APIs, and data services that support core supply chain operations and workflows.
- Owning technical delivery across the software lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support.
