Lead EHS Specialist

Job Description Summary The EHS Manager for GSI various projects is responsible for Providing day-to-day EHS support for site activities across all GSI as it is relates active project within the United States. This role is based in the United States. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Develop strong working relationship with operational and project managers in the region to drive the expected EHS culture across all operations. Act as support liaison for all sites in helping comply with regulatory requirements. Ensure all operations are carried out in compliance with applicable regulatory and GE requirements. Understand EHS contractual requirements. Conduct audits in line with the business audit plan, with rigor and consistency, to identify deficiencies and drive improvements in the management of EHS. Conduct regular inspections of sites and working methods to ensure safety rules and procedures are followed, that protective equipment is used properly, and all devices necessary for safety are in place, used appropriately and support corporate policies. Support onsite initiatives including Life Saving Rule validations, GE Vernova initiatives. Perform onsite Orientations for GEV personnel, Contractors and Visitors. Be the liason between client and GEV for related EHS iniitatives Perform contractor evaluations on monthly basis in Complyworks. Support the business in driving continuous improvement in EHS programs, and the way they are implemented across sites. Review, analyze and evaluate effectiveness of existing programs and recommend necessary improvements. Support the region in maintaining accreditation across assigned sites. Drive increased use of Digital Programs and tools across assigned sites, aligned with GSI Global. Conduct ITO reviews and assess EHS requirements and risks, as requested to support the business being successful in gaining orders.
