The Role This role involves ensuring high availability, performance tuning, data integrity, backup and recovery, and supporting development and operational teams with database solutions. Administer and support IBM Informix databases across development, testing, and production environments. Install, configure, and upgrade Informix database server software. Monitor database performance, perform tuning, and ensure optimal efficiency and uptime. Manage database backup and recovery strategies, including DR planning and testing. Maintenance & Enhancement: Troubleshoot, debug, and modify existing Informix 4GL application code, forms, and reports to meet evolving business needs. Database Programming: Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL statements, stored procedures, and triggers for the IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) database. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, working with application developers and system administrators. Who You Are You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it.
