ABOUT APHEX

We're the construction planning platform replacing outdated spreadsheets with multiplayer tools that delivery teams love. Major contractors like Acciona, CPB Contractors, John Holland, and McConnell Dowell use Aphex to deliver projects from £50 million to multi-billion pound mega projects.

We're market-leading in Australia and the UK, supporting teams building the roads, rail, tunnels, and hospitals that millions use every day. Our founding thesis: owning the planning layer is a gateway to solving high-friction adjacent processes in what we call the orchestration layer of major project delivery. Diary is our first major product expansion of that thesis.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a Product Designer to own mobile experience design across Aphex—with a primary focus on Diary, our production tracking and record capture product.

80% of mobile usage is Diary—capture, task updates, photo logging, voice contributions. The people using this aren't at desks. They're site managers in PPE, foremen on shared tablets, engineers shifting between zones with patchy connectivity. Designing for this context is fundamentally different from desktop.

Most construction software looks like it was built by people who've never been on a building site. Our bar is different. We build tools construction teams are genuinely proud to use—and right now, mobile is where the gap between our ambition and our execution is widest.

Where we are:

- Flutter mobile app live across iOS and Android

- Diary in market with 10 enterprise customers and unanimously strong feedback

- Web experience sets a high bar—mobile needs to match it

- Small, senior design team that needs to grow to meet the product surface

- You'd be the first designer with devoted mobile focus

WHAT YOU'LL DO

OWN MOBILE DESIGN

- End-to-end design of mobile features from briefing through to shipped UI

- Define and evolve interaction patterns that feel native and considered

- Design for real constraints:...
