The Lead Field Service Engineer under general guidance and minimal supervision, performs a wide range of engineering tasks and ensures proper installation, service and commissioning of products and services. Provides technical support for installation and commissioning of projects and provides maintenance, breakdown emergency support and remote troubleshooting. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: As a Field Service Engineer, you will: Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems, power systems, automation systems or dynamic positioning systems at customer site locations during ship construction. Performs troubleshooting activities at site locations during scheduled Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implements corrective actions. Performs a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of our equipment. Develop documentation to execute work such as commissioning and maintenance procedures, as well as execute customer training. Execute on site project management and technical leader duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfaction Identify sales opportunities for service agreements, spare parts, training, and upgrades. Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service. Assist in the growth and direction of the North American business.
